Owners Bryan & Larissa DeGraw were living in New Jersey, looking for a change and a way to move to Western NY to be closer to family. With Bryan's extensive experience homebrewing and making mead, they were thinking about starting a meadery and tasting bar in Western NY.Â
Needing no further encouragement, within 2 months their house in NJ was rented out and Larissa was scouting properties in Medina, NY. Eleven crazy months later, with mountains of support and help from family and friends, and a dramatic depletion in savings, 810 Meadworks opened on November 29, 2014 with 8 different meads on tap.
