About Us:

Wine is a living thing, and evolves through time.  In this way, nature tells the story through the soil, weather, and how we manage the vines.  High quality boutique wines require a hand-crafted approach, and a team of artisans with a vision.  Owner/Proprietor Gregory Hayes, and Consulting Winemaker Kent Humphrey have come together with over two decades of experience in the wine industry, and a passion for crafting wines that have a unique story.

Our winemaking approach is simple; make exceptional wine from carefully selected artisan vineyards that express Sonoma Coast's unique character.

The name COSA OBRA is comprised of two words:

COSA meaning "thing" and

OBRA meaning "a hand-crafted body of work"

“This is our thing, this is what we do, our hand-crafted body of work”

Through these efforts COSA OBRA produces Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Rosé, and a Proprietary Red Blend crafted from small local growers. Over the last ten years, these vineyards include:

Atoosa's Vineyard - Russian River Valley

Dry Stack Vineyard - Bennett Valley

Fallenleaf Vineyards - Sonoma Valley

Greywacke Vineyard - Russian River Valley

Hummingbird Hill Vineyard - Sonoma Coast

Ray Teldeschi Vineyards - Dry Creek Valley

Sangiacomo Vineyards - Los Carneros

Windsor Oaks Vineyards - Russian River Valley
