The is a very small (charming) one man/family operation located near the Outlet Mall in Dawsonville ,GA. The owner and vintner Glen was very friendly and was even kind enough to bring out an umbrella to our car in the pouring rain when we arrived,
The tasting room and the winery equipment are all crammed in the back of what appeared to be a retro fitted/upgraded garage. It had a pleasant small town feel to it despite the close quarters.
The wine selection included several fruit wines, 3 whites and 3 reds. The reds are not what you'd consider bold and are intentionally made light to suit local pallets I suppose. The owner was very congenial and happy to discuss his craft with us. It is a welcome change to be able to speak with the actual maker of the wine for a deeper insight.
All in all a pleasant experience particularly if you like Muscadine and fruit wines
