In 2006, the winery was founded in Sonoma. At the time, our focus was on Pinot Noir from the Sonoma Coast and Willamette Valley. Our winemaking school was founded in 2018. H Winery originally was a side project for the former winemaker of Havens Winery, a way to branch from the Cabernet religion of Napa Valley. Like many winemakers who specialize in Cabernet Sauvignon, Keith was seeking a change. At first, he thought it was going to be Burgundian Chardonnay and elegant Pinot Noir. That wasn’t going to be enough. He was thirsty for a more dramatic change. He was spending time in Italy, working for several wineries in Tuscany, and had moved to (of all places) Philadelphia.
