About Us:
Harmony Vineyards wines are produced exclusively from grapes grown at our estate vineyard located in the North-central Piedmont of Baltimore County. The vineyard site was carefully selected for its 800 foot elevation, south facing aspect and rocky schist based soil. There are four acres currently planted – primarily Merlot and Syrah, along with Cabernet Sauvignon, Barbera, and Petite Verdot varietals.
Harmony's proprietor, Kevin Campbell, and his late wife Judith, acquired the Harmony property in 1992 and planted its first vines in 2002. Much has been learned over the ensuing 12 years.
Grapes sourced from Harmony have been used by other commercial Maryland wineries since 2004. Now, in 2014, we are pleased to release wine made under our Harmony Vineyards label for the first time. We have worked to develop the best farming practices for our vineyard, including what grape varietals to plant, where to plant them, and how they are best cultivated. We know that great wine must necessarily start with great fruit. We combine this with modern winemaking techniques and artful hand crafting. Our goal is to create ultra-premium wines that reflect the greatest potential and characteristics of our estate-grown fruit.
