Open: Year-round
At the age of 28, Jonathan quit his job and moved to Davis to pursue his two loves Bonnie and winemaking. Two years later, Jonathan was introduced to the viticulture and enology program at California State University in Fresno. It was, at the time, the only university in the country to have its own bonded, working winery. This was an opportunity not to be missed.
Since Bonnie had to go back to San Diego for an internship, Jonathan headed to Fresno. One year later they were married. In 1998, Jonathan was offered a winemaking position working for a Dutch billionaire in Monterey, CA. "We put down roots and had 2 beautiful daughters. Life was good. But, we still dreamed of having our own winery. In 2003, we purchased some of our own fruit and began searching for property suitable for growing great Pinot Noir. We found some great sites, but unfortunately didn't have a multi-million dollar budget!"
We turned our sights North to Oregon and never looked back. We are currently making several wines from Oregon and Washington as we begin developing our Estate Pinot Noir vineyard. Just remember, "You can't have a dream come true, if you don't first have a dream."
