Mais Fica is a small, family-owned vineyard and winery in the Sierra Nevada foothills. We produce Rhone style wines, exclusively, from our Grenache, Mourvedre, and Syrah grapes. Our focus is to produce the highest quality fruit possible from our vineyard to ensure the finest wine.
"More for Me"
Mais Fica means "more for me" in Portuguese and was a favorite expression of Marty's grandmother, Margaret Azevedo. She used it most frequently when her many grandkids did not eat all the food she lovingly served them. We truly hope you enjoy our wines, but heck, if you don't, mais fica!
The Portuguese Rooster
Our wine labels and our website page header feature a colorful Portugese rooster, which is the national symbol of Portugal and symbolizes honesty, integrity, trust, and honor -- all values which are important to us and our winery business.
