For nearly 20 years as a personal chef, I have had the privilege to work with the freshest ingredients produced by the many dedicated farmers in our beautiful Pacific Northwest.
My love and passion for food and the wonderful art of pairing that perfect wine with cuisine brought forth my deeper dream of one day crafting my own wine.
I find myself once again relying on the fruits of our dedicated local farmers, but this time it is in the vineyards that stretch across Washington's unique and gifted terrain.
I received my Professional Enology Certification from Washington State University, where I have deepened my knowledge and study of winemaking.
I am happy to unveil the opening of Marcus Sophia Winery, named after my son Marcus; and Sophia, which in its ancient meaning is "female wisdom." The two combined represent a beautiful balance, which is what I strive to attain in the crafting of my wines.
