Open: November - May
Some sons learn how to play baseball from their fathers. Others learn how to ride a bicycle. At a young age, Manny Miranda learned how to make wine. As far back as he can remember, when Summer turned to Autumn, he and his father and grandfather would be busy in his grandfather's winery, crushing grapes, pressing them, fermenting the juice into wine. Over time, Manny learned from his father and grandfather in the same way they learned from their fathers and grandfathers before them. He learned to blend wine, age it, perfect it and, of course, enjoy the fruits of the family's labor.
Since he was a small boy in Europe, Manny dreamed of planting his own vineyard and building his own winery. In 2001, the Mirandas planted the first vines and built the winery modeled after the old family winery in Portugal. In 2007, Miranda Vineyard opened to the public. For more than a decade, Manny and his sons have been busy perfecting those Old World techniques passed down from generation to generation. They've been mixing heritage with science, and they've created some very special wines they hope you will enjoy as much as they do. Cheers! Or as they say in Portuguese -Â Saude!
