Peltier Station is a winery located in Acampo California. The winery is owned by Schatz Family. Our winegrape growing history began with our grandparents in the 1950's. Since our first crush in 2002, our family has been building expertise producing high quality wines for large and small wineries alike. Today, Rodney and Gayla Schatz farm a range of varietals on 500 acres throughout the northern and eastern areas of the Lodi Appellation. Our respected winemaker, J.C. van Staden, chooses from only the finest blocks in our vineyards for our wines.
Peltier Station winery was built as a response to the need for more production facilities when the coming of the millennium brought with it a swell of vineyard development and an abundance of grapes. We create premium wines from the grapes that were once shipped eastward via the rusty old railroad tracks alongside Peltier Road, which also provided the inspiration for our locomotive logo. Peltier Station winery has always practiced sustainable wine growing and was one of the first in the Lodi Appellation to install solar panels for energy. Additionally, the Lodi-Woodbridge Winegrape Commission's Sustainable Viticulture Program will certify that all our vineyards are sustainable by 2011.
