About Us:

We are a small family owned winery in the Pungo section of Virginia Beach ,VA.
Most operations around the winery are performed by  family members. Pungo Ridge Winery
started in  early 2010  and  opened the tasting room in August 2011 with 50 cases of blackberry Wine.  We specialize in country wines made from local Pungo grown fruits such as blackberries , blueberries , strawberries , apples,pears plums and peaches .  Most our country wines  are fermented in stainless steel  and  left with a slight amount of  residual sugar  to retain the fruitiness character  of the berry .

Both the winemaker, Fred Havens , and winery manager, Eugene Havens are  retired  photographers with over 75 years of  combined  photography experience. 

We farm approx 5 acres  in Pungo , Virginia Beach ,VA. Also on the property is a
honey bee operation  for the production of our honey wines (mead) .  All wines come from 100%
Virginia produce , over half is  grown on our estate .  We are generally closed in the winter and early spring  as we usually sell out by Christmas.
