RainSong is a small family- operated vineyard and winery owned by Mike and Merry Fix. Â After serious searching for several years, we purchased 55 acres in this isolated valley in 1984. Â The site is comprised of a wonderful combination of meadow, pond, and woodland with a gentle southeastern slope. Â We have fine grape growing soil, Bellpine, and our elevation ranges from 500 to 800 feet.We began planting the vineyard in 1985. Â We now have 9 acres of vines,6 of which are Pinot Noir, with the remaining acreage in Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier.In 1988 we built a small winery at the bottom of the vineyard.Our operation at RainSong is small, even by Oregon standards.
