Sentivo (sen-tee- voh) Italian for “I felt” - Located in the heart of Fair Play, Ca, Sentivo represents the best of the Sierra Foothill wine region. El Dorado County wineries include some of the best wines in the state, Fair Play being one AVA you won't want to miss!
Our family story is unique and interesting and is best told over a glass of wine (or two!). Like many families, our heritage is a blend of cultures, people and places but our deep-rooted connection stems from Italy, hence the origin of our winery name. Family is at the center of our winery and we operate in a way where everyone who visits is treated as such. Our signature toast here at Sentivo sums up our philosophy: “To friends who are family and family who are friends.”
We are a family business that is built on a passion for wine, the beauty of our vineyard and our love for each other. We purchased our Fair Play vineyard in 2010 with vines that were planted in 1999. In 2011, we harvested our first vintage of Estate Syrah and Petite Sirah grapes and have been handcrafting our wines with care and dedication ever since.
Drinking wine, especially with those we love, involves all of our senses and creates feelings of warmth and joy. Sentivo is an Italian word that means "to have felt". When you visit us here at Sentivo Vineyards and Winery, we hope that you will remember how you felt – from the award winning wines, the amazing Sierra Foothill views and the friends and family, old and new, that you spent time with in beautiful Fair Play, Ca.
