This place has great wines and people. Our sommelier was Vic, he had a very broad knowledge of the wine making in the valley and once he knew my taste in wine was willing to give a few suggestions for tomorrow. The wines here are really good if your taste runs to reds.cask 23 is unbelievable. Stop and enjoy.

Drove in yesterday from Eureka, California. The hours say open until 5pm. Liars. I got to the gate at 4:36 just to go in and buy a bottle but the gate was closed. I called and a very inconsiderate and rude man denied me entry and said they , “ start winding things down at 4:30”. After driving 4-+ hours in rainy weather, I can say I was not amused. I very particular about the wine I drink. So we went into the wine shop in town and purchased a $90 bottle from another vintners. Stage Leap lost my business period.

We visited 6 wineries today and this one was on a whole different level... in a bad way. Very snobby

Make sure this is the right Stags Leap you're wanting to go. We came here because we love their petite sirah and was excited to tour the estate. Our so called tour consisted of going from one living room to the dining room, went outside to see a cork tree, then back inside to the large dining room. Severely disappointed with the tour. Also, the ONLY winery in Napa Valley did not give a retaste after asking to revisit.
