About Us:

In 2002, Jack (a builder/developer) and Grace (a real estate broker) bought this 300-acre farm on the Scuppernong River in Tyrrell County to develop into a subdivision. In the process of clearing the land, they spent a lot of time here and realized there was no way they would ever part with this property. They decided to build our home here and move to the Columbia area. They sold their property in Manteo, left their careers and began to look for a way in which they could use this farm that was indigenous to this area. After doing some research, they discovered that the muscadine grapes were originally found on a farm in Tyrrell County by Sir Walter Raleigh's expedition in 1654. They decided to grow a vineyard, build a winery and open a wine shop and tasting room.
