Wolf Mountain Vineyards And Winery

180 Wolf Mountain Trail

Our pastoral hillside vineyards, fieldstone-encased winery and hospitality facilities overlook the foothills of the Southern Appalachian Mountains. The Vineyard and Winery provides the perfect setting for the enjoyment of our award-winning handcrafted wines, Vineyard Weddings, Sunday Brunch, Cafe Lunch and Gourmet Dinners.

Wolf Mountain Vineyards was established in 1999, with the preparation of our 30 acre estate for grape growing. In 2000, the vines were planted by hand and the winery construction began. We finished construction of the now 10,000 square foot gravity flow winery in spring of 2001. Our first vintage of approximately 1000 cases was produced that fall, using locally grown fruit.

We opened to the public in early spring of 2003, selling out of our first vintage in only eight months. Our first harvest at Wolf Mountain was the fall of 2002, with our wine production reaching 2000 cases. During our second season we expanded our program of events and sold out of our 2002 vintage. Our focus is to make the highest quality Georgia wines possible. As a result of our labor intensive protocols, our production will remain limited. With the support of our loyal patrons, we have exceeded a 5000 case annual production.Come by the winery soon to taste the difference, you won't want to miss this year's vintage or our exciting events.

Our Vision:

To create a lifestyle at Wolf Mountain Vineyards and Winery that offers our family, friends, and guests the highest-possible quality wine and food experiences.

To create a limited number of handcrafted Georgia wines enjoyed at unique events designed to broaden one's knowledge and appreciation of the culinary arts and the marriage of wine and food.

Wolf Mountain Vineyards is absolutely beautiful! The seating area and grounds are setup where you get views of the mountains and grape vines. Moreover, I have been here twice now and both times have been for special occasions. I always had exceptional service and most of all the wine is incredible. I usually prefer reds but the white wines made by this company pair very well with a broad range of cuisines. Thank you Wolf Mountain Vineyards for the great experience and allowing me to use your establishment for the special occasions I was able to use it for. Note: The company did not pay or solicit this review in any way. This is an honest review and there was no compensation of any kind.

Lindsey, Steven and Leslie - I just wanted to take a minute and say thank you for the incredible time Jack’s Mom had with us up there last week!! We have been telling her about our love affair with Wolf Mountain Vineyards ever since we started coming up there almost 7 years ago and when we told her that we bought property right around the corner from the winery and were going to retire up there, her biggest wish was to see Dahlonega and your amazing winery!! We made her wish come true by giving this trip to her as her Christmas Gift. The minute she stepped out onto your balcony and saw the breathtaking view, she began to cry. And this is from a lady who has traveled the world and experienced mountains before. She said the view absolutely took her breath away. And I don’t even know where to begin with the way you all made her feel like family!! She said she has never met a group of people that she felt so close too so fast, she couldn’t get over your hospitality and warmth! And this is coming from someone who is almost 89 years old!! You all went out of your way to make her feel at home and like she belonged and was family. I don’t even know where to begin about your spectacular Sunday Brunch!! Mom has always been a very picky eater and eats like a bird. She went back for second helpings of almost everything, including dessert which she never eats! As I sit here and write this, I find myself tearing up remembering the truly amazing time she had with us up there for the 4 days we were there. She laughed, smiled, told jokes, talked to complete strangers and loved drinking her wine! I can’t begin to thank you all enough for helping make this trip a truly beautiful and memorable experience for her. I am counting down the days until we can retire, build up there and be your neighbors and really counting the days until we see you again on June 30!! Take care and much love,

Interesting winery with a beautiful building. Tasting was not the best as it seems they serve the lower end of their selection. They advertise as 'Napa style' tasting experience which to me says 'expensive and commercial'. We only drank a couple sips of our pours and we're happy to have shared a single tasting.

We are proud members of the club and love to get a moment to just come, chill, try some different wines, maybe a white pizza with shitake mushrooms and spinach... the people here are fabulous and always make us feel welcome! Great views, good, and wine make it a worthwhile trip, so go on and check them out!

Wolf Mountain Vinyard is an absolutely incredible experience with excellent food and a view of the mountains to remember! Their spreads and grits fries are great appetizers and they have very good sandwiches. Also the wine has such a great flavor, especially the Howling Wolf Red. Definitely come here for a fantastic experience.
